Circle in a Square
A great quilt group asked lots of questions as I shared my inspirations and reflections related to the quilts I make. I truly enjoyed being the May program for their guild and appreciated that a friend rode shotgun for the trip to St. Louis suburb of Richmond Heights as well as being my “Vanna” for the trunk showing. A quick little make and take learning how to make a hexie folded flower ended the program part of the evening. To help reinforce the process I share below a pictorial explanation of the folds. For those who want to try this and then wonder what to do with a hexie folded flower think embellishment for a whimsical floral bouquet or combine two back to back in holiday colors for a tree decoration. Or just add a safety pin to the back use as a brooch after adding beads or vintage buttons to the center.
Feel free to contact me through this website or email for program and workshop options for your quilt group.

5. last fold should form a point.
6. Fold point to center and fasten with stitches through all layers. Add beads or buttons to embellish.
